God Can and Will Help

It’s amazing to think about the power and wisdom of God, especially as we think about creation. It’s incredible the way God speaks the world into creation. When an artist creates a painting they make precise stroke after stroke, carefully and intentionally ensuring perfection. Yet, God simply says, “let there be…” and there it appears with absolute perfection. God’s power is unfathomable.

Since God is powerful enough to speak the world into existence, we should have confidence in His ability to care for us. If God is capable of speaking the world into existence surely He’s capable of hearing our prayers and helping us through whatever it, is we are facing. We cannot face a problem, challenge, or trial which is too much for God. As humans we can be overwhelmed and stressed by all we must do. Yet, even if the entire world, literally everyone on earth, prayed to God asking for help with different situations, God would be unbothered by the workload.

As humans we can be overwhelmed and stressed by all we must do. Yet, even if the entire world, literally everyone on earth, prayed to God asking for help with different situations, God would be unbothered by the workload.

We are unable to overwhelm God with our challenges and problems. God is big enough and strong enough to handle everything we could possibly throw at Him. Hebrews 1:10-12 remind us that not only did God create the world, but His power and strength never fails. God doesn’t get tired or change. His power is everlasting!

Is God willing to help?

Certainly, God is powerful enough to help us, but too many people doubt their own self-worth; therefore, questioning not if God is capable, but whether He is willing to help. However, when we look at the creation of mankind, we see just how willing God is to help us. God didn’t just create humans, He created us in a very special way.

Created In His Image

God created humans in His image, we are the representation of God on Earth. When all of creation looks to us, they are to see the creator. Just as a statue might be erected in the image of a historical figure to remind us of the significance of that person and what they were able to accomplish. God set us apart from the rest of creation by using Himself as the model. Being made in the image of God is what truly makes us different from the rest of the world. It is in His image we have been asked to have dominion over the world, ruling as His representative.

In Pursuit of Relationship!

God not only made us differently, but He gave humans a special home (Genesis 2:8) and all throughout history has pursued a relationship with us. God’s desire for a relationship with human beings is seen not only in making the garden of Eden their special home, but also in coming to visit them in the Garden (Genesis 3:8). We can see God’s desire to have a relationship with us continues since God sent His Son to die on the cross for our sins. If God loves us enough to send His Son to die on the cross to save us certainly, He wants to help us through our challenges.

We are God’s special creation, made differently, in His image, given a special home, and most significantly God has pursued a relationship with us. Certainly, then God is not only capable of helping us but desires to help us!  May we all allow God to help us through life.

casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

1 Peter 5:7
